Overview:
The IDM-RACK5U Centralized Bridge is a rack-mounted, small-capacity multi-user access network platform system designed for star network topologies with high-volume user access. It features high integration density and strong compatibility, allowing flexible configuration of varying quantities and types of service cards (bridge cards or optical modem cards). This reduces initial investment while facilitating future expansion, upgrades, and maintenance.
The entire unit adopts a 19-inch 5U front plug-in card structure, where each plug-in card corresponds to two remote single E1 bridges (optical modems), enabling convenient star network configuration. This centralized device fully utilizes the abundant existing E1/fiber resources in telecommunications networks to extend the transmission distance and application range of Ethernet, providing an optimal solution for Ethernet access. This product can be used in various fields such as LAN interconnection, video-on-demand, and remote surveillance.

Product Features:
- The central end adopts a 19-inch 5U plug-in card structure, corresponding to desktop-type single E1 bridges (optical modems) at the remote end;
- The chassis provides 19 slots, including 2 power supply cards, 16 service cards, and 1 network management card or other service expansion card;
- Each plug-in card at the central end can correspond to two single E1 bridges (optical modems); when fully configured, it can support up to 32 remote ends;
- Each plug-in card provides 2 physically isolated Ethernet interfaces;
- The remote desktop bridge (optical modem) supports 4 shared Ethernet interfaces;
- Supports E1 local loopback and remote loopback;
- Supports framed and unframed modes; framed mode supports PCM30/31 and CRC-4 auto-negotiation;
- Ethernet supports MDI/MDIX;
- Transparently transmits jumbo frames as defined by IEEE 802.1Q, supporting Ethernet switches with VLAN functionality;
- Features local data frame filtering and PAUSE flow control support;
- Provides Ethernet data loopback prevention to avoid network crashes caused by line loopback;
- Offers comprehensive line alarm indication, supporting primary timing and tracking timing;
- Provides serial (RS485) network management and Ethernet network management for convenient configuration of device operating parameters and monitoring of operational status.
