Overview

The IDM-RACK3U Centralized Protocol Converter is a rack-mounted, small-capacity multi-user access network platform system designed for star network topologies serving large user access. It features high integration and strong compatibility, allowing flexible configuration of different quantities and types of service cards (bridge cards or optical modem cards), which not only reduces initial investment but also facilitates future expansion, upgrades, and maintenance.

The IDM-RACK3U Centralized Protocol Converter adopts a 19-inch 3U front plug-in card structure. Each slot corresponds to one remote RS232/422/485 data optical terminal or single E1 bridge (optical modem), E1 optical terminal, high-speed serial optical modem, optical Ethernet switch, serial-to-bidirectional HDMI converter, telephone optical terminal, or E1 (V.35) optical modem, enabling convenient construction of a star network. The IDM-RACK3U Centralized Protocol Converter fully utilizes the abundant existing E1/fiber resources in telecommunications networks to extend the transmission distance and application scope of Ethernet, providing an optimal solution for Ethernet access. This product can be used in various fields such as LAN interconnection, video-on-demand, and remote surveillance.

The central end adopts a 19-inch 3U plug-in card structure, corresponding to remote desktop-type RS232/422/485 data optical terminals, single E1 bridges (optical modems), single E1 optical terminals, high-speed serial optical modems, optical Ethernet switches, serial-to-bidirectional HDMI converters, telephone optical terminals, and E1 (V.35) optical modems;

The chassis provides 20 slots, including 2 power supply cards, 17 service cards, and 1 network management card or other service expansion card;

The central-end chassis can accommodate RS232/422/485 data optical terminals, single E1 bridges (optical modems), single E1 optical terminals, high-speed serial optical modems, optical Ethernet switches, serial-to-bidirectional HDMI converters, telephone optical terminals, and E1 (V.35) optical modems. When fully configured, it can support up to 17 remote ends;

Supports E1 local loopback and remote loopback;

Supports framed and unframed modes; framed mode supports PCM30/31 and CRC-4 adaptive;

Equipped with serial (RS485) network management and Ethernet network management for convenient configuration of device operating parameters and monitoring of operating status;

Dual power supply cards with 1+1 redundant backup;
