IDM optiMUX Platform Optical-Electrical Integrated Transmission Platform

1. Overview

The IDM optiMUX Platform (OMP for short) Optical-Electrical Integrated Transmission Platform is a new-generation optical-electrical integrated transmission device launched by our company, based on high-speed optical fiber transmission technology, PBX switching technology, and PCM technology. It integrates program-controlled switching functions for telephone voice, Gigabit Ethernet transmission, E1 service transmission, and PCM multi-service access functions, meeting users' demands for optical fiber transmission and access of both broadband and narrowband services. The IDM optiMUX Platform all-in-one unit can directly connect remote terminals such as telephones, computers, and cameras. At the remote end, it can also be extended through optical ports to connect PDH optical terminals, optical modems, and multi-service optical terminals, adapting to various network topologies.

It can be widely applied in private networks of public security, electric power, railway, mining, and other industries, as well as public networks of mobile, Unicom, and telecom operators.

2. Features

Ø The chassis structure adopts a (6+1)U, plug-in card design; providing 16 slots;

Ø Integrates high-speed optical fiber transmission, PBX voice switching, PCM access, and audio/video command & dispatch technologies into the equipment;

Ø Provides 2016×2016 VC-12 level non-blocking cross-connection between TDM interface services, supporting unidirectional, bidirectional, and broadcast services;

Ø Flexible system design; the same equipment can be configured as TM, ADM, or MADM modes;

   Provides multiple networking modes: point-to-point, chain, ring, star, tree, ring-to-ring, ring-intersection, and other network topologies;

Ø The standard model has a non-repeater transmission distance of 40 kilometers; customization is available for transmission distances exceeding this range;

Ø Provides an F (100Base-T) network management interface, offering the five major functions recommended by ITU-T through the Netguard management system: configuration, alarm, performance, maintenance, and security; also provides equipment network management cascade interfaces;

Ø Provides SNMP simple network management protocol;

Ø Provides 2 equipment alarm output interfaces;

Ø Supports online upgrade of equipment software;

Ø Provides natural heat dissipation and forced fan cooling, with intelligent temperature-controlled fans and fan status detection functions, ensuring stable equipment operation;

Ø The IDM optiMUX Platform can accommodate a Signaling Gateway Card, used to support signaling such as No.1, No.7, PRI, and V5.2, as well as SIP softswitch signaling.

Ø The IDM optiMUX Platform can accommodate a PCM Service Access Card, with over 20 types of PCM plug-in modules that can be inserted into the PCM subscriber card. It provides voice and data services.

Ø The IDM optiMUX Platform can accommodate an Audio/Video Visual Command & Dispatch Card, providing image dispatch communication based on E1 or IP transmission channels.

3. Typical Application

The IDM optiMUX Platform aggregation host equipment can form a star network with IDM GP5000 and IDM GP4000, providing users with telephone, data, IP, and video services.
