Overview:

        The IDM-240 Integrated Service Cross-Connect Multiplexer is a PCM multiplexing device that utilizes dedicated large-scale integrated circuits to process up to 8 E1 signals. It adopts a 19-inch 6U standard chassis with 13 slots (2 CMU slots, 8 USER slots, 2 PRU slots, and 1 expansion slot). It can provide 240 user interfaces, and the user cards can be flexibly configured with more than 20 types of interface cards as required. Meanwhile, PDH optical interface modules can be inserted into the multi-function slot to accomplish multiplexing of broadband and narrowband services over E1 or optical fiber, making it a multi-service integrated platform for PCM multiplexing and Ethernet access. The 240 user interface services provided by the IDM-240 can be transmitted across 8 E1 directions. It can be combined with the IDM-120 series, IDM-30 series, and IDM-mini series to form various network topologies, including chain networks, star networks, tree networks, and other integrated networks.

Main Features:

◆  Perfect modular design
    The same chassis can accommodate cross-connect multiplexer cards based on E1 interfaces, broadband (IP interface) and narrowband (E1 interface) multiplexing based on optical fiber, and timeslot cross-connect cards based on E1 interfaces. The number of multiplexer cards can be selected according to the corresponding interface quantity, effectively reducing networking costs.
◆  Large access capacity
    The IDM-240 features 2 slots for E1 interface multiplexing processing cards (CMU), 8 slots for user cards (USER), and each user interface card has 15 user interface card slots, accommodating up to 15 user interface cards (typically each card contains 2 channels of 64K access services). The entire system can process 8 E1 (2M) services simultaneously, with a maximum user interface capacity of 240 channels.
◆  Rich user interfaces and flexible access methods
    The IDM adopts an independent user module design, offering a variety of voice and data interfaces, including 64K co-directional, V.24/V.28 (RS232/RS485), V.35 (n×64K), 10Base-T, polarity reversal and caller ID telephones (FXO, FXS), magneto, 2100Hz carrier magneto, hotline, carrier, E&M 2/4-wire audio, high-fidelity audio, baseband trunk interface cards, SS1 signaling cards, telephone switching cards, and more than 30 types of user interfaces. These can be freely changed according to user requirements, and the high-capacity, highly integrated design can meet diverse user needs.
◆  Two-level timeslot cross-connect capability
    The first-level cross-connect internally contains two groups of 256×256 full cross-connect matrices, enabling full cross-connect of two groups of 4 E1 (2M) signals, i.e., 120 channels of 64K. The second-level cross-connect internally contains a 1024×1024 (i.e., 32 E1/2M) full cross-connect matrix, allowing flexible configuration of service connection modes based on user requirements, suitable for communication network structures where a central station corresponds to multiple sub-centers.
◆  Multiple clock modes:
    Can be configured as master clock, external clock, line clock, or user clock, and can be set as switch interface or user interface, compatible with both central office and remote end.
◆  Flexible networking capability
    The IDM-240 can be used in conjunction with the IDM-120 series, IDM-30 series, and IDM-mini series. Users can freely choose according to different capacity requirements and application scenarios, providing flexible, economical, and reliable networking.
◆  Network management function
    The IDM-240 can achieve intelligent configuration management of service networking through the NetGuard network management software, allowing flexible allocation of timeslots at each station and real-time monitoring of equipment operation status at any time.
◆  Leading structure
    Advanced chassis heat dissipation system, with the chassis manufactured using advanced processes and equipped with an electromagnetic interference shielding system, effectively ensuring normal operation of the equipment under complex conditions.
◆  Dual power supply and dual CMU hot backup
    Effectively ensures normal network operation.
