Main Functions

**Main Functions
**The 100M Media Converter features 2 RJ45 twisted-pair interfaces and 2 optical fiber interfaces, used for connecting twisted-pair cables and optical fibers respectively. The 100M Media Converter has 9 LED indicators: POW, SD1, SD2, TP 1000, TP 100, LINK1, Link2. The 100M Media Converter supports device cascading, making it easy to expand service capacity. In point-to-multipoint networking mode, the Gigabit Media Converter simultaneously supports 100M Media Converters from different manufacturers as connected devices. The 100M Media Converter can also be used in conjunction with 100M optical switches.

A Media Converter is an integrated access device. Its uplink port can directly access the IP network, while its downlink ports can connect multiple standard telephones. As an access layer device for next-generation softswitch users, it connects user applications such as data and voice into the packet-switched network, where corresponding functions are completed. The IAD provides traditional voice services with data and voice processing characteristics, namely packet forwarding, analog voice processing, and media stream transmission, supporting both existing and future new services of the softswitch network.
