I. Overview

The IDM-M2000 is a compact portable multimedia dispatch switch that integrates multiple communication methods including mobile phone communication, radio communication, subscriber telephone (FXS), and loop trunk (FXO). Through advanced digital voice processing technology and network encryption transmission technology, devices such as two-way radios on different frequency bands, VHF/UHF radios, HF radios, traditional PSTN telephones (Public Switched Telephone Network), IP softphones, and traditional IP phones can be seamlessly connected to the dispatch system network. It can be used independently, or paired with a dispatch console, or deployed as a remote trunking access gateway for a large dispatch system. It enables long-distance wireless two-way radio communication as well as full-duplex voice interworking between wireless devices and wired terminals, conveniently solving the challenges of intercommunication, dispatch, management, and large-scale networked dispatch in wireless communication networks. It is suitable for the convergence of multiple communication methods in environments such as border posts, vehicles, and ships, and can also be easily integrated into existing dispatch systems to achieve long-distance, large-scale wireless networked communication.

The IDM-M2000 employs all-digital information processing technology with performance superior to relevant national standards. It supports both traditional PSTN telephone interfaces and IP phones using SIP standard protocol and H.323 protocol. It offers strong flexible configuration capabilities and is suitable for a wide range of applications. It adopts a 19-inch 1U desktop structure design.

II. Device Configuration:

The IDM-M2000 supports up to 4 wireless radio interfaces, including HF (shortwave), VHF (ultra-shortwave) single-sideband radios, and 350M/800M trunking two-way radios.

The trunk interfaces of the device can be:

  1. GSM/CDMA interfaces (up to 2 channels);

  2. WAN port supporting electrical interface (RJ45) or optical interface (FC) (serving as the access channel for IP phones, supporting up to 2 IP phone connections);

  3. Standard telephone trunk interfaces (minimum 2 channels);

The number of interfaces for connecting standard telephones or wired intercom terminals is 4 or 8 channels (4 channels per module).

III. Functional Description:

  1. All wired intercom terminals can communicate with each other;

  2. All wired intercom terminals and telephones can select any one or more wireless trunking groups for monitoring and speaking;

  3. Extensions can make external calls via standard telephone interfaces, GSM/CDMA, IP trunk, etc.;

  4. Any two or more wireless radios or trunking groups can be bridged together.

Supports group call function. When an external call comes in, all telephone extensions in the same group call group ring simultaneously, and when any extension goes off-hook, the others stop ringing. If more than 2 external calls come in simultaneously, when any telephone goes off-hook, the external call with higher priority is connected first, while other extensions continue ringing;

Incoming external calls are always answered according to priority, and calls with the same priority are answered in the order of ringing.

Typically, wired intercom terminals have higher priority than internal telephones, and users with higher priority can interrupt the trunking transmission rights of lower-priority users.

  1. Supports recording-to-text transcription

  2. Provides NAT traversal services, enabling external network extension registration, branch networking, mobile office, and other applications

  3. IP phones are plug-and-play

  4. Can directly interface with carrier IMS networks

  5. Provides open API interfaces for integration with third-party application systems

  6. Supports multi-level voice navigation, intelligent duty, and mobile extensions

  7. Supports IDM network management system and third-party network management systems (TR-069, SNMP)
