Installation Environment Requirements for MSTP Optical Transmission Equipment
Environmental Temperature and Humidity Requirements
Excessive humidity can cause poor insulation or even leakage faults in certain insulating materials, leading to corrosion of various metal components of MSTP optical transmission equipment; excessively low humidity can easily generate static electricity, endangering the circuits of MSTP optical transmission equipment. Excessive temperature can reduce the reliability of MSTP optical transmission equipment, accelerate the aging of insulating materials, and long-term operation in high-temperature environments can also affect the service life of MSTP optical transmission equipment. Therefore, to ensure the good working condition of MSTP optical transmission equipment, a certain humidity and temperature must be maintained in the equipment room.
When humidity is excessively low, fastening screws may sometimes loosen due to the shrinkage of insulating gaskets. Meanwhile, in dry climate conditions, static electricity can easily be generated, endangering the circuits of MSTP optical transmission equipment. Therefore, when the equipment room is in a relatively low humidity environment, especially when the relative humidity is below 20%, anti-static flooring should be used and anti-static measures should be strengthened.
Cleanliness Requirements
To meet the cleanliness requirements of the equipment room, the room should be kept clean, away from pollution sources, with doors and windows sealed. Personnel entering the equipment room should change into work clothes and slippers, and ensure the cleanliness of the work clothes and slippers.
Equipment Power Supply Requirements
The operating power supply range for IDM MSAP-CP equipment is -72V to -36V, with a nominal value of -48V. Since MSTP optical transmission equipment mainly provides transmission paths for communication networks, a power outage would have a wide-ranging impact. Therefore, in addition to power outage protection measures, the DC power distribution system should also be equipped with batteries to stabilize the voltage and ensure the stable operation of MSTP optical transmission equipment.
Construction and Maintenance Power Supply
Since power tools and instruments are required during installation, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment, a 220V/2000W AC power supply for construction purposes should be prepared in the equipment room. The power outlets should be multi-functional sockets with both two-pin and three-pin receptacles.
