Environmental Requirements for Communication Equipment Installation
Environmental Temperature and Humidity Requirements for Communication Equipment
Excessive humidity can cause insulation degradation or even leakage faults in certain insulating materials, leading to corrosion of various metal components of the equipment; excessively low humidity can easily generate static electricity, endangering equipment circuits. Excessive temperature can reduce equipment reliability, accelerate the aging of insulating materials, and long-term operation in high-temperature environments can also affect equipment lifespan. Therefore, to ensure the proper working condition of transmission equipment, a certain level of humidity and temperature must be maintained in the equipment room.
In cases of excessively low humidity, loosening of fastening screws may occur due to the dry shrinkage of insulating gaskets. Meanwhile, in dry climate conditions, static electricity can easily be generated, endangering equipment circuits. Therefore, when the equipment room is in a relatively low humidity environment, especially when the relative humidity falls below 20%, anti-static flooring should be used and anti-static measures should be strengthened.

Cleanliness Requirements for Communication Equipment
To meet the cleanliness requirements of the equipment room, the room should be kept clean, away from pollution sources, with doors and windows sealed. Personnel entering the equipment room should change into work clothes and slippers, and the cleanliness of the work clothes and slippers should be maintained.
Power Supply Requirements for Communication Equipment
The operating power fluctuation range of the IDM MSAP-CP equipment is -72V to -36V, with a nominal value of -48V. Since transmission equipment primarily provides transmission paths for communication networks, a power outage would have a wide-ranging impact. Therefore, in addition to power-off protection measures, the DC power distribution system should also be equipped with batteries to stabilize the voltage and ensure the stable operation of the transmission equipment.
Construction and Maintenance Power Supply for Communication Equipment
Since power tools and instruments are required for installation, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment, a 220V/2000W AC power supply for construction purposes should be available in the equipment room. The power outlets should be multi-functional sockets with both two-pin and three-pin receptacles.
