Features and Applications of Raytrans 8E1 SDH Optical Terminal

The Raytrans 8E1 SDH Optical Terminal is an STM-1 level multi-service SDH optical terminal built on SDH and EOS technologies, fully compliant with ITU-T standards. The SDH Optical Terminal provides users with access and transmission for multiple services. It offers two 155.52Mbps optical interfaces (A and B), four 10M/100M physically isolated Ethernet interfaces, supports up to 24 shared 10M/100M Ethernet interfaces, and 8 groups of E1 interfaces. It features ITU-T G.813 standard network element timing, VC-12 cross-connection, and channel protection functions. Additionally, the IDM MSTP155-16 can serve as an add-drop multiplexer or terminal multiplexer for building point-to-point, point-to-multipoint chain, and ring transmission networks. The SDH Optical Terminal is widely applicable in telecom data services, power, banking, public security, and military sectors for public telephone network access or dedicated line information transmission.

The Raytrans 8E1 SDH Optical Terminal adopts a 19-inch 1U standard chassis structure for easy installation. It integrates SDH, PDH, and IP access functions to meet most remote service access requirements. The SDH Optical Terminal supports 3 service slots, accommodating E1 service boards, FXS/FXO boards, V.24/V.35 boards, Ethernet expansion cards, video cards, and universal service boards for flexible configuration based on requirements. It features multiple clock modes to meet clock requirements in various application environments, including local crystal oscillator clock, line-extracted clock, and external clock 2MBIT/2MHZ. The SDH Optical Terminal provides comprehensive monitoring and alarm functions, with front panel LEDs indicating specific alarm states and the device capable of outputting alarm information. It offers dual optical or dual electrical SDH interfaces for easy construction of chain or redundant ring topologies. The SDH equipment supports point-to-point, chain, and ring networking, and can also be jointly networked with centralized MSTP systems. The cross-connect capacity is 252×252 VC-12. In optical port mode, FC/SFP optical modules are available. It can interconnect with STM-1 optical interfaces of any standard SDH/MSTP equipment. The SDH Optical Terminal offers optional DC-48V, AC220V power supplies, or dual power supplies.
