I. Overview
The IDM MSAP-G3CP SDH Large-Capacity Integrated Service Cross-Connect Multiplexer is an integrated service platform that combines narrowband service access, broadband service access, PCM multiplexing, 64K timeslot cross-connection, E1 cross-connection, STM-1/STM-4 cross-connection, SDH/PDH optical transmission, telephone exchange digital signaling access, Ethernet switching, and multimedia dispatch. It is a comprehensive service platform integrating communication access, transmission, switching, dispatch, and video display control.
The IDM MSAP-G3CP equipment is primarily used for service access, transmission, and aggregation at the access layer of data communication networks. It features complete synchronization and timing functions, a powerful non-blocking cross-connect matrix at both VC12 and 64K levels, and aggregation capabilities for voice, IP, data, and Ethernet services.
The network management platform can adopt the Netguard Network Management System developed by Beijing Raytrans Digital Technology Co., Ltd., providing powerful server/client-based, hierarchical management capabilities, including configuration management, fault management, performance management, permission management, and log management.

- Equipment Structure
Ø The chassis adopts a (6+1)U, plug-in card design, providing 16 front plug-in slots and 12 rear plug-in slots.
- Transmission Interfaces
Ø Provides standard STM-4/STM-1 optical transmission interfaces, supporting up to 48 optical directions;
Ø Provides standard E1 interfaces, supporting up to 336 channels.
- Service (PCM) Interfaces
Ø Provides voice interfaces for automatic telephone, common battery telephone, and magneto telephone, supporting up to 300 channels;
Ø Provides data service interfaces including V.24/RS232/RS485/RS422, X.50/X.58, co-directional 64K, Nx64K bandwidth V.35/V.36, and Ethernet, supporting up to 300 channels.
- Cross-Connect Capability
Ø Equipped with a 4032×4032 non-blocking full cross-connect function at the 64K timeslot level;
Ø Equipped with a 2016×2016 non-blocking full cross-connect function at the 2M timeslot level;
Ø Equipped with a 32×32 space-division cross-connect function at the VC4 level;
Ø Signaling exchange and processing functions, program-controlled switching functions, supporting NO.7, No.1, PRI, and V5.2 signaling.

Ø Provides a comprehensive network management software system for SDH integrated configuration and DXC cross-connect functions;
Ø Provides online level testing for audio channels, and online bit error rate testing for 64K timeslot channels and E1 channels;

IV. Application Example

Typical Networking Topology
As an aggregation node, the IDM MSAP-G3CP can connect upstream to the higher-level transport network via STM-1/STM-4 optical interfaces, access the telephone switching network through E1 digital trunks or FXO analog trunks, connect to a magneto telephone switch via magneto telephone interfaces, and connect to a common battery telephone system through common battery telephone interfaces. Meanwhile, it can also access the local transport network via STM-1/STM-4 optical interfaces or E1 interfaces, forming a network with remote low-capacity integrated service cross-connect devices such as the IDM MUX8 and IDM MAP8E1-30.
The remote low-capacity integrated service cross-connect devices IDM MUX8 and IDM MAP8E1-30 access the local transport network through E1 interfaces, and connect to local analog telephones, magneto telephones, and common battery telephones via FXS analog telephone interfaces, magneto telephone interfaces, and common battery telephone interfaces respectively.
