Overview:

The IDM-24E1 Multi-Service Cross-Connect Multiplexer utilizes dedicated large-scale integrated circuits. It is a PCM multiplexer capable of processing up to 24 E1 signal channels. Adopting a 19-inch 6U standard chassis with 15 slots (6 CMU slots, 6 USER slots, 2 PRU slots, and 1 expansion slot), it provides 180 channels of 64K plus 24 channels of n×64K user interfaces. User cards can be flexibly configured with more than 20 types of interface cards as required. Meanwhile, PDH optical interface modules or 8-port Ethernet switch cards with Gigabit uplink fiber interfaces can be inserted into the multi-function slots to accomplish multiplexing of broadband and narrowband services over E1 or fiber, making it a multi-service integrated platform for PCM multiplexing and Ethernet access. The 180 user interface channels provided by the IDM-24E1 Multi-Service Cross-Connect Multiplexer can be transmitted across 24 E1 directions. It can be flexibly combined with the IDM-120 series, IDM-30 series, and mini series to form various network topologies, including chain networks, star networks, tree networks, and other integrated network architectures.

Optical Terminal

Main Features:

◆ Perfect Modular Design
In the same chassis, cross-connect multiplexer cards based on E1 interfaces, broadband (IP interface) and narrowband (E1 interface) multiplexing based on fiber optics, and timeslot cross-connect cards based on E1 interfaces can be inserted. The number of multiplexer cards can be selected according to the corresponding interface quantity, effectively reducing networking costs.

◆ Strong E1 Multiplexing Capability
The IDM-24E1 features 6 E1 interface multiplexing processor card (CMU) slots and 6 user card (USER) slots. Each user interface card has 15 user interface card slots, accommodating up to 15 user interface cards (typically each card contains 2 channels of 64K access services). All 6 E1 multiplexing processor cards provide non-blocking timeslot cross-connection among 4 groups of E1 interfaces and among all 120 user interfaces, supporting connections in 24 E1 directions. It can also accommodate high-capacity cross-connect cards such as 32E1, enabling efficient utilization of E1 resources.

◆ Rich User Interfaces and Flexible Access Methods
The IDM adopts an independent user module design with multiple voice and data interfaces available, including 64K co-directional, V.24/V.28 (RS232/RS485), V.35 (n×64K), 10Base-T, polarity reversal and caller ID telephones (FXO, FXS), magneto, 2100Hz carrier magneto, hotline, carrier, E&M 2/4-wire audio, high-fidelity audio, baseband trunk interface cards, No.1 signaling cards, telephone switching cards, and more than 30 types of user interfaces. These can be flexibly changed according to user requirements. The high-capacity, high-integration design satisfies diverse user needs.

◆ Two-Level Timeslot Cross-Connection Function
The first-level cross-connection internally contains two groups of 256×256 full cross-connect matrices, enabling full cross-connection of two groups of 4 E1s, i.e., 120 channels of 64K. The second-level cross-connection internally contains a 1024×1024 (i.e., 32 E1s) full cross-connect matrix, allowing flexible configuration of service connection modes according to user requirements. This is particularly suitable for communication network architectures where a central station corresponds to multiple sub-centers.

◆ Multiple Clock Modes:
Can be configured as master clock, external clock, line clock, or user clock. It can be set as a switch interface or user interface, compatible with both central office and remote end configurations.

◆ Flexible Networking Capability
The IDM-24E1 can be used in conjunction with the IDM-120 series, IDM-30 series, and IDM-mini series. Users can freely select according to different capacity requirements and application scenarios, providing flexible, economical, and reliable networking.

◆ Network Management Function
The IDM-24E1 can achieve intelligent configuration management of service networking through the NetGuard network management software, enabling flexible timeslot allocation across stations and real-time monitoring of equipment operation status at any time.

◆ Leading Structure
Advanced chassis heat dissipation system with state-of-the-art manufacturing processes. The chassis features an electromagnetic interference shielding system, effectively ensuring normal operation under complex conditions.

◆ Dual Power Supply and Dual CMU Hot Backup
Effectively guarantees normal network operation.

Typical Applications:

  • Dedicated line access for voice, data, and video surveillance systems in electric power, public security, finance, education, and other sectors
  • Broadband and narrowband integrated service access for residential communities/smart buildings
  • Extension of data networks for telecom, Netcom, and Unicom operators
  • Military multi-service access network construction
