IDM 30AN Fiber and E1 Transmission Channel Mutual Backup Device

In some applications, both fiber optic lines and E1 lines are required simultaneously as mutual backup transmission channels.

For example, a forest fire prevention unit's lookout point normally uses fiber optics to communicate with the base below the mountain. To prevent cables from being destroyed by mountain torrents during flood season, a microwave bridge + reverse bridge is used to provide an E1 channel as backup.

Another example is an air traffic control unit, which normally has its own fiber optic lines to radar stations/communication stations. To increase reliability, it may also lease E1 channels from carriers as backup channels.

The IDM 30AN normally prioritizes the fiber optic transmission channel. When using fiber optic transmission, it can simultaneously provide one group of wire-speed 100M Ethernet channels. When a fiber optic fault occurs, the E1 transmission channel is activated to ensure minimum service transmission requirements.

The narrowband services of the IDM 30AN are transmitted over both fiber optic and E1 channels simultaneously, with the fiber optic channel given priority.

To distinguish it from the standard IDM 30AN, it is usually designated as IDM 30AN-H.
