Raytrans Gigabit Optical Terminal Product List
Demands such as HD video surveillance, 4K HD TV, HD video conferencing, and big data processing have driven up the need for high-capacity communication bandwidth;
The growing variety of network requirements, including video surveillance networks, industrial control networks, enterprise intranets, industry system intranets, and the Internet, requires transmission networks capable of supporting multiple network types.
Network viruses, hackers, cybercrime, and other network technologies are constantly evolving, posing increasingly serious threats to network security. The most thorough and permanent solution to network security is to use physically isolated Ethernet, eliminating the use of packet isolation technologies such as VPN and VLAN.
Long-distance leased fiber is costly, and each pair of fibers requires different equipment to be installed, resulting in high costs, high power consumption, and complex installation, commissioning, maintenance, and expansion.
Our fiber transmission equipment provides up to 4 physically isolated Gigabit Ethernet channels on the same fiber core, or 2 physically isolated Gigabit Ethernet channels plus 4 physically isolated Fast Ethernet channels, and also offers up to 30 E1 interface services.
The same equipment can also provide telephone interfaces (FXS/FXO, E&M 2/4-wire, hotline, magneto, intercom), data interfaces (RS232/RS485/RS422, V.35/V.36, co-directional 64K), as well as high-fidelity HIFI, HF, VHF, and UHF interfaces.
At the central end, it can provide digital signaling aggregation for telephone services, serial server mode aggregation for data services, and Ethernet service aggregation.
I. Overview
The Raytrans IDM series Gigabit optical terminals include two series with fiber rates of 2.5G and 5G;
All products with a fiber rate of 2.5G are interoperable on the optical port;
All products with a fiber rate of 5G can be downgraded to a fiber transmission rate of 2.5G after a program update, and can interoperate with 2.5G products over the fiber.
Gigabit optical terminals are divided into 5 categories: Telephone Optical Terminal, Integrated Service Fiber Transmission Equipment (capable of transmitting other PCM services in addition to telephone), PDH Optical Terminal, 2.5G Dual-Gigabit Ring Network Equipment, and Central End Equipment. They support SNMP network management, central-end centralized equipment, and central-end service aggregation, i.e., support for single-end access of remote telephone services, flexible telephone number configuration, and easy commissioning and maintenance.
The 2.5G products are divided into 2 types: 2 physically isolated Gigabit Ethernet ports with several E1 channels (typically 5 E1); and 2 physically isolated Gigabit Ethernet ports, 4 physically isolated Fast Ethernet ports, with up to 30 E1 channels;

- Ring Network Application of Gigabit Optical Multiplexers
All Raytrans 2.5G Gigabit optical multiplexers support ring and daisy-chain networking modes. The ring network with redundant backup can be applied to mission-critical industrial control and video surveillance industries!
Among them, the IDM GTD442 provides dual physically isolated wire-speed Gigabit transmission over optical fiber, with ring network protection switching time and bandwidth superior to traditional Gigabit Ethernet ring devices!
The central office equipment can be any product with a 2.5G optical card GP2000M inserted, or a product with the 120N-GP optical transmission card!
The device supports cascading of up to 30 units, with each unit providing 2 physically isolated wire-speed Gigabit Ethernet ports, 4 telephone lines, and 2 RS485 channels. These telephone services can be connected to a PBX switch at the central office via FXO, while the RS485 data services can be aggregated at the Ethernet port through the central office's serial server card.
The terminal serial server card typically provides conversion for 16 or 30 data channels. Due to the timeslot bandwidth limitation of E1, the bandwidth of each RS485 channel does not exceed 9600bps.
If more serial ports or higher-speed serial ports are required, a 4-port serial server expansion board can be inserted into the IDM GTD442. In this case, no aggregation is needed at the central office — the conversion is performed directly at the remote end to Ethernet, and the serial port rate can reach up to 115.2Kbps.
The IDM GTD442 is widely used for monitoring, dispatching, and integrated communications in factories, industrial parks, mines, rivers, and other important areas. The 2 wire-speed 1000M Ethernet ports can be used with one for Internet connectivity and the other for high-volume video data processing on the internal video surveillance network. The physical isolation of the two Gigabit networks ensures system security; alternatively, one can be used for the surveillance network and the other for the internal communications network!
