Introduction to Elevator Five-party Intercom Optical Terminal
Elevator five-party intercom systems primarily use twisted pair transmission, which limits transmission distance.
Elevator five-party intercom systems primarily use twisted pair transmission, which limits transmission distance. As modern communities expand, elevator five-party intercom systems require extended transmission distances. Current methods mainly include FM wireless transmission and GSM mobile network transmission; the former is susceptible to frequency band interference, while the latter can build larger networks but offers lower bandwidth and higher ongoing costs.
Our company's products solve the issue of transmitting traditional five-party intercom systems over fiber optic or IP networks.

There are many types of five-party intercom systems on the market, but they basically include Mitsubishi elevator five-party intercom types and Otis elevator five-party intercom types. The Mitsubishi system uses audio signaling, offering longer transmission distances and better sound quality, but at a higher price; the Otis intercom uses audio and level signaling, with shorter transmission distances and lower prices, typically 200–400 RMB per single-channel set, achieving high market penetration!
Raytrans elevator intercom optical terminals are designed to transmit for both of these product types. The products feature a modular design, available in models with 2, 4, 10, 30, and 128 channels (rack-mount type, 8 channels per card). High-capacity equipment is suitable for centralized access during the relocation of existing elevator management centers, as well as for projects involving centralized smart management of elevators in cities, such as the 96333 system. Small-capacity models include dual optical port devices, facilitating cascade applications.
Raytrans elevator five-party intercom optical terminals (sometimes used as elevator three-party intercom optical terminals) can also provide one channel of line-rate 100M Ethernet (e.g., IDM NT104). Some models can provide two physically isolated line-rate 100M Ethernet channels and an RS485 monitoring channel (e.g., IDM NTD4102). The Ethernet channel can provide video surveillance inside the elevator car, while the other physically isolated channel can be provided to customers for internet access or leased to video advertisers.
By replacing the transmission card, Raytrans elevator intercom optical terminals can also transmit over leased IP networks, typically using VPN for elevator IP five-party intercom, making them suitable for smart elevator operators to manage elevators over a wider area.
Raytrans elevator intercom systems can be directly integrated into emergency smart dispatch systems, enabling interconnection with fixed telephones, mobile phones, and trunked radios, and can be bound with video for coordinated command and surveillance.
