China-Korea Mobile Communication Industry Cooperation Forum Held in Beijing

Co-hosted by the China Mobile Communication Association and the Beijing Office of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, the China-Korea Mobile Communication Industry Cooperation Forum on "Smart Life 2020 Outlook Based on Mobile Phone Technology" was held on December 14 at the Century Jinyuan Grand Hotel in Beijing.

Currently, Asia has become the fastest-growing region for smartphones in the global mobile phone market. It is expected that by 2015, more than half of the mobile phones owned by consumers will be smartphones.

At the same time, we believe that smartphones will become the next trillion-yuan industry. Ten years from now, every person will hold more than one smartphone device.

Leaders from China Mobile, China Unicom, China Telecom, Korea's KT, Samsung, and other communication operators, as well as smartphone developers and application software vendors, attended the summit. They conducted in-depth exploration and discussion on the opportunities and challenges facing future smartphone-related SW: application software, various software, and value-added services.

The conference also analyzed the global smartphone market conditions and trends over the next decade, which will provide a reference for guiding the development of key application technologies for future smartphones and the formulation of strategic development plans for the mobile phone industry. At the same time, it will comprehensively promote joint cooperation between the two countries in the terminal industry, enhance product and technology innovation capabilities, establish an exchange platform for Chinese enterprises and Korean-funded enterprises, and further expand cooperation between China and Korea in the mobile communication field.
