Huawei in Talks with Major Indian Operators to Advance 5G Technology Locally

According to Indian media reports, Chinese telecom equipment manufacturer Huawei is in negotiations with several top-tier Indian telecom operators to promote joint innovation in 5G technology, and has already initiated 5G-related testing in India. Jay Chen, CEO of Huawei India, told the media, "We are now introducing 5G technology into 4G networks. As planned, we believe that during the 4G era, India will move in sync with the global pace in the transition from 4G to 5G. Therefore, we say that the rollout of 5G in India is not far off."

Huawei is introducing various 5G technologies, such as spectrum cloudification, network virtualization, software-defined networking, and network slicing, with the ultimate goal of commercially launching 5G in India.
