1. Operation Procedure:
1.1 Cut off the main power supply of the escalator or moving walkway;
1.2 Confirm that there are no unrelated personnel or other debris within the full travel range of the escalator;
1.3 Confirm that maintenance personnel are on guard at the upper (lower) entrance of the escalator and that safety warning signs have been placed. It is strictly forbidden for other personnel to board (or exit) the escalator or moving walkway;
1.4 Confirm the direction in which the escalator or moving walkway needs to run for the rescue operation;
1.5 Open the upper (lower) machine room cover plate and place it in a safe location;
1.6 Install the hand-cranking wheel (except for fixed cranking wheels);
1.7 One maintenance personnel opens the brake, while another compares the cranking direction mark on the escalator cranking wheel with the direction the elevator needs to run for the rescue operation, and slowly turns the hand-cranking wheel to move the escalator in the required direction until the rescue needs are met or the decision is made to abandon the manual operation method;
1.8 Close the brake device.
