Unbalanced Signals
In analog signal transmission, if the signal is transmitted directly, it is an unbalanced signal. If the signal is inverted and then both the inverted signal and the original signal are transmitted simultaneously, it is called a balanced signal. The balanced signal is fed into a differential amplifier, where the original signal and the inverted signal are subtracted to obtain an enhanced original signal. Since the interference experienced by the two lines during transmission is similar, the same interference is canceled out during subtraction, making it more immune to interference. This phenomenon of suppressing common noise in the two conductors of a balanced signal line is called common-mode rejection. Therefore, a balanced line can be implemented simply by adding a differential amplifier at the input and output of the signal.
Non-stationary signals refer to signals whose distribution parameters or distribution laws change over time. Most signals encountered in the real world are non-stationary signals. Stationary and non-stationary are both terms applied to random signals. General methods for analyzing and processing non-stationary signals include time-domain analysis, frequency-domain analysis, and joint time-frequency analysis.
