1.1LCD Display Principle and Structure

The LCD display is relatively complex, with its main components including fluorescent tubes, light guide plates, polarizers, color filters, glass substrates, alignment layers, liquid crystal materials, thin-film transistors, etc. - Working Principle of the LCD Display
First, the LCD display must utilize a backlight source, i.e., fluorescent tubes projecting light. This light first passes through a polarizer and then through the liquid crystal, where the arrangement of liquid crystal molecules changes the angle of light passing through the crystal. The light then passes through a front color filter film and another polarizer. Therefore, by changing the voltage applied to the liquid crystal, we can control the final light intensity and color, thereby producing different shades and color combinations on the LCD panel. - LCD Display Characteristics
a) High Resolution
LCD offers higher resolution. LCD displays computer signals at XGA, SVGA, VGA resolutions, and can also display DTV or high-definition HDTV signals.
b) Flicker-free Picture
Each pixel of the LCD is independently controlled and equipped with double-scan circuitry, so even ordinary TV signals or VCR tapes can present fine and perfect images.
c) Accurate Color Reproduction
Samsung LCD displays typically show up to 16.7M+ colors, providing a perfect 13-bit grayscale, supplemented by rich grayscale levels, delivering fuller and more vivid colors.
d) Widescreen Display Mode
The large-screen LCD display has a 16:9 aspect ratio instead of the traditional 4:3, designed for users to enjoy most DVD discs and future HDTV signals (16:9 aspect ratio). Of course, you can also select 4:3 format to watch regular TV program signals.
e) Perfect Flat Panel Display
LCD is a true flat panel display. The large picture has no curvature, with no deformation or distortion even at the corners.
f) Uniform Brightness
Most other mainstream display technologies suffer from uneven screen brightness (such as projection, PDP, CRT, etc.), but due to the unique display principle of LCD, brightness is very uniform, with no darkening at the corners.

i) Full-system Signal Reception
The LCD display can connect to most common video signal sources, including composite video S-Video (NTSC/PAL), standard AV signals (Video), DVD/HD (YPbPr), VGA signals output by computers, RGB/HV signals, and DVI signals.
