IDM M9000 Communication Command & Dispatch Switch in Fire Emergency Command Field Applications
Current Status and Challenges:
Fire brigades currently use walkie-talkies for on-site command communications, and high-power radios are typically used to connect the field with the command center. Some fire units are also equipped with audio/video command terminals.
In large disaster relief sites, in addition to the fire department, public security, health, and power departments are usually present, requiring each department to coordinate with others. Frequently switching walkie-talkie channels is impractical, and some units' radio systems operate on different frequency ranges or use different standards, such as the 350M band, 800M band, or air-to-ground communication bands. Leaders sometimes also use GSM mobile phones or landlines to stay informed of on-site command operations.
Requirements:
Fire on-site command personnel need to be equipped with multiple trunked radio sets, especially those operating on different frequency bands and standards. These radios should be interconnected through a dispatch switch, enabling monitoring, command, and trunk merging of each radio via the dispatch console. Considering the complexity of the field environment, sites with communication vehicles can be configured with touchscreen dispatch consoles and audio/video dispatch capabilities, while sites without such vehicles can use keyboard dispatch consoles or other simple dispatch tools.
The dispatch switch can also be equipped with GSM/CDMA phone cards or 4G communication cards to maintain communication with the outside world.
Voice recording equipment can also be installed to record all on-site voice communications.
A comprehensive dispatch system can also bind video signals to achieve voice-data coordination. It can also synchronize with geographic location information, displaying the location of dispatched units simultaneously.

IDM M9000 Function Overview:
In the diagram, the IDM M9000 can accommodate 12 access service cards.
If radio interface cards are installed, each card can connect up to 4 radios (trunked);
If telephone cards are installed, each card supports 8 telephone lines (FXO or FXS);
If GSM/CDMA phone cards are installed, each card can connect 2 mobile phone SIM cards.
The WG300 processing card features IP telephony gateway functionality, enabling interworking between analog voice services and IP (SIP-standard VoIP protocol). Dispatch and data storage can be implemented over IP.
The central processing card WG300 also provides TDM-based telephone switching. Voice services on the IDM M9000 can be program-controlled switched, with user ports and trunk ports interchangeable, for a total capacity of 120 channels.
The central processing card WG300 supports multi-party voice conferencing, allowing conference rooms to be allocated for trunked radios and IDM MCC keyboard dispatch consoles, thereby enabling flexible multi-party communication.
The central processing card WG300 also features E1-based digital signaling extension, supporting conversion of China No. 1, China No. 7, and PRI signaling.
IDM MCC Dispatch Console Function Overview:
The IDM MCC is an IP keyboard dispatch console without a computer system. It connects to the IDM M9000 via an Ethernet switch and can be flexibly deployed at any location. It features a built-in 10W amplifier speaker and can be deployed over any IP channel for convenient use.
The IDM MCC is equipped with 5 groups of radio corresponding keys (the mapping can be configured).
Monitoring function: When monitoring a selected radio, the corresponding indicator displays the monitoring status color. If there is audio on that trunked radio channel, the speaker outputs amplified sound, and the corresponding channel indicator flashes.
Talk function: If a channel is enabled for talking (configurable), the talk-enabled indicator lights up. When the group call key is pressed, the microphone audio is broadcast across all enabled trunked channels.
For enhanced dispatch capabilities, a dispatch server and touchscreen dispatch console are required.
