Visit Beijing Hyundai, Experience Modern Craftsmanship
On the afternoon of February 23, 2011, senior managers of Raytrans visited the First Plant of Beijing Hyundai Motor Company, located in Linhe Industrial Development Zone, Shunyi District, Beijing.
Beijing Hyundai Motor Company is a Sino-Korean joint venture automobile enterprise and one of the three major pillars of Beijing's automobile industry, established in 2002. Adhering to the principle of "Pursuing Excellent Quality, Creating a Happy Life," Beijing Hyundai has rapidly risen in China's automobile industry within just a few years. With its modern management methods, cutting-edge technology, superior quality, and comprehensive after-sales service system, it has carved out a path of sound and rapid development, making significant contributions to the capital's economic growth.
Entering the Beijing Hyundai production facility, a square glass building came into view, with sunlight highlighting the four prominent characters "北京现代" (Beijing Hyundai). The straight roads and brand-new workshops gave us the impression of a young and dynamic enterprise. Upon entering the production and assembly workshop, the first impression was like stepping into an "industrial amusement park." The entire workshop was spacious and bright, with many vehicles "flying" overhead. It turned out that tracks were installed at a high level in the plant, allowing parts to be transported overhead from one assembly station to another without taking up floor space, thereby saving considerable room in the workshop. The automation of Beijing Hyundai's assembly workshop is world-class, with all production line transfer points completed automatically. This not only greatly reduces workers' labor intensity but also ensures safe production in a highly user-friendly manner. Moreover, production efficiency is extremely high, with 66 new vehicles rolling off the line every hour, averaging one vehicle per minute.
This visit not only deepened our understanding of Beijing Hyundai but also allowed us to observe the operational workflow of a world-class automotive production line, enhancing our knowledge of modern technology and management processes. It provided us with an intuitive and clear understanding of the organizational structure and production processes of manufacturing enterprises. Beijing Hyundai is striving to foster a harmonious internal corporate atmosphere, driving the healthy and sustainable development of its industrial chain, and aiming to make greater contributions to a harmonious society.
