Why did "Zhongguancun" settle in Nanyang? Beijing and Nanyang established a strategic cooperative relationship through their bond of water.
A clear canal of water flows northward forever. Due to the Middle Route Project of the South-to-North Water Diversion, our city established a counterpart cooperation relationship with Beijing. As an important measure to promote the transformation of the economic development mode of the water source area and improve the quality and efficiency of economic growth, on April 27, the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee and the municipal government signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement to jointly promote the site selection and construction of the Nanyang Zhongguancun Science & Technology Industrial Park in the High-tech Zone. The Nanyang Zhongguancun Science & Technology Industrial Park is located in the Nanyang High-tech Industrial Cluster Area, adjacent to the central urban area, with a regional scope south of Weiqi Road and west of Jingshi Road, covering a total planned area of 15.63 square kilometers. The start-up area covers 1,000 mu, with main functions of headquarters economy, enterprise incubators, and key leading project bases. The High-tech Zone has intensified infrastructure construction in the park, completing pre-acquisition of 1,300 mu of land, building 9 park roads, with staff apartments and a nine-year consistent school under construction, and part of the resettlement community to be delivered by the end of the year.
What will "Nanyang Zhongguancun" focus on developing? A "4+1" industrial system targeting ecological and environmental protection.
The Nanyang Zhongguancun Science & Technology Industrial Park is positioned as a regional growth pole for Zhongguancun collaborative innovation. Relying on Zhongguancun's advantageous resources, it will be built into a node for allocating innovation elements, a highland for distinctive development of strategic emerging industries, and a special zone for exploring institutional and mechanism reforms, ultimately forming a regional growth pole for Zhongguancun collaborative innovation. To protect water quality, strengthen people's livelihoods, and promote transformation, based on Nanyang's industrial foundation and future development needs, the park will focus on developing a "4+1" industrial system: intelligent manufacturing industries represented by optoelectronic displays, equipment manufacturing, and smart grids; materials science and technology industries represented by superhard materials, metal materials, and polymer materials; energy and environmental protection industries represented by water technology and bio-energy; and bioscience industries represented by life and health and modern traditional Chinese medicine. It will also vigorously develop modern service industries, including producer services and consumer services.
