A centerless ad-hoc network means that terminals do not rely on a server, a base station, or a public network; instead, they discover their neighbors by themselves and form a mesh network. Once the IDM MCC580 is powered on, it automatically searches for terminals on the same frequency and establishes mesh links, so that any two terminals can reach each other, with voice, video, and data shared within the network; when a link is interrupted, services are automatically rerouted through other nodes, and the network provides self-organizing and self-healing capabilities. The terrestrial public network, SparkLink, and the ad-hoc network can be used in parallel; when the primary link fails, the terminal automatically switches over to the backup link within 50 ms. The site requires no pre-deployed infrastructure, which makes the IDM MCC580 suitable for environments without public network coverage such as basements, mountainous areas, and tunnels.
