The transmitter receive/transmit rate of the IDM-VDA8200 8-channel video optical multiplexer is 1.25G bps with receive/transmit wavelengths of 1550 nm/1310 nm, and the receiver receive/transmit rate is likewise 1.25G bps with receive/transmit wavelengths of 1310 nm/1550 nm. The receive and transmit wavelengths at the two ends are exactly opposite, which allows bidirectional transmission of video, data, audio and Ethernet services over the same optical fiber without mutual interference. To determine whether a link is usable, compare the difference between the transmit (optical) power and the receiver sensitivity against the optical fiber attenuation and the splice point and connector losses before making the calculation. When the project distance exceeds the capability of a single segment, an optional long-distance optical module can be installed to achieve a longer optical fiber transmission distance, or video lossless regenerative repeaters can be used for stage-by-stage networking.
