After the video signal completes A/D sampling at the transmitter it is transmitted directly in digital form, and the receiver performs D/A conversion to restore it; the link contains no encoding or decoding stage and therefore introduces no picture quality loss or stream jitter caused by compression algorithms. The video signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of the IDM-VDA8200 8-channel video optical multiplexer is ≥70 dB (weighted), its luminance non-linearity is <3%, its differential gain (DG) is <0.7% and its differential phase (DP) is <0.7°; it is compatible with formats such as PAL, NTSC and SECAM, its audio sampling bit width is 16 bit with a sampling frequency of 32 kHz, and its audio quality reaches the CD-grade standard.
