The key to non-blocking cross-connection lies in the cross-connect granularity and the matrix resources: the IDM DXC5200 uses the 64K time slot as the cross-connect granularity and establishes an independent connection relationship for each of the 32 time slots in every frame, so any input time slot can be connected to any output time slot, and adding or adjusting a circuit will not block services due to a matrix conflict. A PCM30/32 frame carries 32 time slots, 30 of which carry 64K services, TS0 is used for frame alignment and alarms, and TS16 is used for channel-associated signaling (CAS); on the E1 side the bit rate is 2.048 Mbit/s and the line coding is HDB3, in compliance with the ITU-T G.703 standard. Cross-connection relationships are delivered as configuration, so capacity expansion only requires adjusting the time-slot cross-connect table, while the lines and external equipment remain unchanged.
