Broadband Fiber Transmission Equipment for Video Big Data Processing
In the construction of smart cities, the data transmission of video surveillance and video conferencing is increasing. Video contains more information than images, text, and sound. The processing of video big data will bring significant benefits to industries such as public security and transportation. Currently, the information processing at video checkpoints mostly relies on the intelligent processing of cameras. Due to the limited processing capability of cameras, they can only perform predetermined tasks with a single function. This is why more and more cameras are installed along roadsides—each one performs a different function.
With the proliferation of video big data processing, processing centers are being distributed to grassroots levels. However, the environmental conditions and technical capabilities at township grassroots levels are limited, so establishing a video big data processing center at the county level is generally sufficient to meet demand, while townships can set up monitoring centers. This requires sufficient transmission bandwidth from the county-level processing center to townships and to each camera.
Since the optical cables for video transmission are typically leased from operators or broadcasting departments, it is essential to fully leverage the value potential of each fiber core and provide cost-effectiveness. Common technologies include wavelength division multiplexing and time division multiplexing. The former uses one fiber core as multiple fiber cores, while the latter combines several fiber optic devices into one. After time division multiplexing, wavelength division multiplexing can also be applied, and the cost-effectiveness should generally be calculated comprehensively. Leasing multiple fiber cores over short distances is not expensive, but the corresponding number of devices and maintenance costs are higher.
Raytrans is a provider of integrated fiber optic service equipment, offering system-level broadband fiber integrated transmission equipment. Its main features include providing multiple physically isolated wire-speed 100M or Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, as well as E1 interfaces, telephone, data, and trunked radio interfaces, capable of forming point-to-point, chain, and ring networks.
IDM GTD442 provides 2 groups of physically isolated wire-speed Gigabit Ethernet, each with a 1000base-FX optical port and a 1000base-TX electrical port. The optical ports can connect to any model of media converter or optical switch, for example, from a police booth to multiple cameras at distant road checkpoints. IDM GTD442 can form a ring network with ring protection functionality, featuring a fiber rate of 2.5G, and 2 physically isolated 1000M networks that can be shared by many cameras. It includes 4 telephone channels (optional) for internal or public telephony, and an RS485 interface for various control information. If more control interfaces are needed, an optional 4-port serial server module can be configured.

IDM GTD442 Multi-channel Gigabit Fiber Ring Network Equipment
For township police stations and neighborhood committees that require more physically isolated Ethernet channels or telephone services, the IDM 3500 series equipment can be selected, providing up to 90 telephone or data services.

The central end can adopt IDM G3CP equipment to provide access services for remote E1 interfaces, telephone interfaces, and data interfaces. In addition to connecting to the switch via FXO interfaces, telephones can also access the switch through digital signaling such as NO.7, NO.1, and PRI.
IDM G3CP connects to remote equipment via the 2.5Guser plug-in card or the 5Guser plug-in card, both of which have 4 SFP optical ports. The optical ports of the 5Guser can be optionally configured for 5Gbps or 2.5Gbps rates.
