  4.    Support access to command telephones and service telephones;

  5.    Provide multi-color buttons and indicator lights to represent different levels of alarms;

  6.    Display information on personnel passing by and vehicles passing by;

  7.    Provide firearm RFID positioning and monitoring; an alarm is triggered if a firearm leaves a certain range;

  8.    Provide local lighting control;

  9.    Ambient temperature and humidity monitoring;

  10. Provide fingerprint recognition and face recognition for duty inspection and shift handover;

  11. Provide biometric signal analysis of duty personnel;

  12. Support access to perimeter defense information;

  13. Provide UPS power management capability.

II Design Principles

  1.    Low-voltage system for indoor use;

IV System Features

  1. Telephone access, voice monitoring, hailing, and one-key alarm are implemented in hardware, eliminating the risk of system crashes

  2. Critical information occupies dedicated transmission channels, implemented via hardware methods, enhancing system reliability

  3. IoT-based measurement and control for convenient operation

  4. All-in-one solution minimizes the number of devices and cabling, improving system reliability

V Appendix: IDM Smart Sentry Post System Function List

5.1 Forward Network Video Surveillance

  1. Cameras for key guard points and blind spots

  2.    Sentry face cameras

  3. Internal video surveillance camera for the ammunition box

  4. The sentry post must be able to view the front, back, left, and right areas

5.2 Reverse Network Video Surveillance

Monitors, via image splitters, connect to images from optical terminals of downstream branches; especially including images from the duty room (this function can be used for two-way audio/video intercom), enabling two-way surveillance.

5.3 Alarm System

  1. Alarm types: four different colored buttons, each color corresponding to a specific alarm. The alarm buttons are installed on the sentry post integrated facility box. When an incident occurs, the sentry can trigger the corresponding alarm button, such as riot, escape, attack, or disaster.

  2. Audible and visual alarm: voice broadcast system combined with audible and visual alarms to achieve integrated sound, light, and voice alarm, with alarm events stored. External alarm speakers (normally playing high-fidelity music, can be used for hailing in emergencies, playing alarm sirens, or gunshot warnings) and flashing warning lights can be connected.

  3. Alarm technology linkage: integrates and links multiple alarms including infrared alarms, ammunition box alarms, armory alarms, wireless alarms, access control alarms, and electric fence alarms.

  4. Alarm personnel linkage: linked with nearby sentry posts

5.4 Two-way Intercom and Intercom Monitoring

  1.    Push-to-talk intercom mode: intercom with the center and hear the center's audio only when the button is pressed; normally only the center can monitor all user voice; the center console can display which user is currently speaking;

  2. Full-duplex intercom mode: either end can intercom with all users at any time.

  3. Through center operations, group calls, broadcast calls, and voice paging can be implemented simultaneously

5.5 Telephone Access

  1. Internal emergency command telephone, connected to the dispatch system

  2.    External personal telephone line

  3. Incoming call information displayed on screen: calling number and call details

5.6 Firearm Control

  1. The ammunition cabinet is controlled by the control center for opening. Ammunition request: the sentry presses a button to send a request signal to the duty room to open the ammunition box; the duty room decides whether to supply ammunition (handled at the console).

  2.    Firearm removal alarm system

  3. Compatible with emergency opening via fingerprint (e.g., network disconnection or terminal timeout without response to requests)

  4. Key opening supported during power failure

5.7 Attendance Check-in

  1. Scheduled fingerprint card swiping with audible and visual reminders

  2. Fingerprints within authorized permissions can be stored locally

  3. Shift start and end attendance, with periodic refresh during duty

  4. Fingerprint management for duty inspection and shift changes

5.8 Broadcast System

  1. Alarm management, armed police dedicated four-color audible and visual alarm (see alarm section)

  2. Public broadcast functions: announcements, notifications, paging; sound level higher than background music but not interfering with face-to-face conversation between two people

  3. Zoned broadcast: any group of speakers can be controlled to play audio

  4. Uses a 30W amplifier with horn speakers; broadcast volume can be adjusted within a certain range from the center

  5. Local hailing for deterrence, remote hailing

5.9 Networking Functions

  1. Intercom optical terminals support chain networks and tree-type branch networks

  2. This unit has five optical port directions; at the center, all optical ports point downstream; at intermediate nodes, one optical port points upstream and four point downstream

  3. Intermediate nodes support multi-level relay

5.10 Display Functions

  1.    Video surveillance information display

  2. Personnel entry/exit and vehicle entry/exit information display
