The 19-inch 1U chassis of the IDM-120PN houses 8 universal slots and 2 expansion slots. Subscriber interfaces adopt an independent module design, and more than 30 types of interfaces, including 64K codirectional, V.24/V.28, V.35, FXO/FXS, magneto, hotline and EM 2/4-wire audio, can be varied to suit site requirements. The unit provides 16 channels of 64K plus 8 channels of n×64K subscriber interfaces, and the 24 service channels in total can be transmitted over 4 E1 directions. The number of telephone channels is configured with FXO and FXS cards, and low-speed data with V.24 or RS485 cards; when the two together do not exceed 24 channels, one device provides site coverage. For site capacity expansion, add interface cards only, with no need to replace the unit.
