Does the Built-in Ethernet Switching Board Eliminate the Need for a Small Switch on the Site Side?

The IDM-120PN has a built-in Ethernet switching board that connects one Ethernet interface to 4 groups of 100M Ethernet interfaces, so devices such as surveillance cameras and office terminals on the site side can be accessed nearby without an additional small switch. The Ethernet channels support VLAN partitioning and flow control, and the interfaces operate at 10M/100M adaptive, in full-duplex or half-duplex mode, with data frame filtering and MAC address auto-learning. The surveillance network and the office network are carried separately by VLAN, so image traffic does not crowd out service channels, different services within a single optical fiber are isolated from each other, and the scope of a failure is confined to its own domain.
